The map was created for the multiplayer shooter HALO INFINITE using the Forge editor. The level design process included planning stages and techniques essential for a multiplayer map.
Planning
Mechanics and Metrics: Understanding game mechanics and metrics plays a crucial role in the level design phase. This is necessary for determining numerical values and setting rules that will be used in creating the game space. This process includes parameters such as character height, jump distance, movement speed, and other characteristics that define the gameplay experience. I test all types of weapons, abilities, and grenades. This data is then used to create levels that ensure comfortable gameplay, taking these parameters into account.
Gathering References: This stage involves searching for and analyzing information such as images, levels from other games, and more. Essentially, anything that can serve as inspiration during the level development process. This helps create a game space that is more realistic and engaging for the player.
Actions on the Level: I think about the actions on the level and what will be memorable for the player. My level should have a multi-layered structure, providing various mobility options for players, including different means of traversal. Additionally, it is important to include both open and closed areas to create diverse tactical opportunities and ensure engaging gameplay.
Level Concept: At this stage, I develop the overall idea for the level, including its theme, objectives, and key characteristics. This process helps me clearly define how the level will interact with the player, providing a purposeful and engaging gameplay experience.
Creating a Game Environment
Once all preparatory aspects are considered, work can begin in the editor. At this stage, attention should be focused on the following aspects: 1 Designing the game environment, working with the primitive geometry of the level. 2 Adjusting lighting and time of day. 3 Periodically testing the level in the editor to assess its quality and functionality.
Various Heights and Platforms
Integrating various levels of height and platforms on the multiplayer map in Halo can significantly enrich gameplay by adding vertical elements and diverse tactical opportunities.

Spawn Points
It is important to ensure that player spawn points are placed in protected areas and avoid their intersection with a large number of sightlines. This will help create balance and provide players with safe conditions for the start. In addition to this, I also consider the convenience of space to make the gameplay as comfortable and exciting as possible for the participants.
Multiple Tactical Decisions
It is important to design the level in such a way that players have multiple tactical options to support various strategies and play styles. The diversity of tactical decisions will make the gameplay exciting and allow players to showcase their individuality in combat scenarios.
